Phillip obtained the CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ certification early in his career (2011) and spends most of his time helping clients with key investing and life decisions. He has demonstrated a tremendous ability to develop professional skills and relate to a variety of diverse client needs. He is completely committed to client-centered service and constantly reaches for greater skill and education to assist the clients of the Team. He has been in the investment industry since his high school years and has worked his way from the ground up within the Team since joining in 2006 after completing a Finance degree from Auburn University. He also obtained his Accredited Asset Management Designation (AAMS®) in 2007.  He is an owner within the business and part of the succession planning of the organization.

Phillip has developed a special skill in retirement planning and meets regularly with clients to understand family change and how that relates to investor portfolio decisions. As a Managing Director with Investor’s Resource, Phillip is directly responsible for implementation of process improvements in the areas of client loyalty, meetings, and communications. He also serves on the Advisor Leadership Committee and the Investment Committee, where he contributes heavily in areas such as investment service enhancements, product selection, and analytical research.

Phillip’s desire to succeed on behalf of the clients comes from the “never quit attitude” as a guiding principle for his life. He goes to great lengths to make sure people are engaged and know that they’ll be taken care of. He is focused on helping clients clearly understand the complexity of investing and feel comfortable with life changing decisions.

Phillip is an avid Auburn football fan and enjoys hunting and fishing in his spare time. He is a member of the Greater Huntsville Rotary Club, Republican Men’s Club, The Quarterback Club, and Auburn Alumni Club.



Certified Financial Planner Board of Standards Inc. owns the certification marks CFP®, CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER, CFP® (with plaque design) and CFP® (with flame design) in the U.S., which it awards to individuals who successfully complete CFP Board’s initial and ongoing certification requirements.

To become a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ professional one must pass the comprehensive CFP® Certification Exam, have a minimum of three years’ professional experience in financial planning process and must be approved by the CFP Board, which involves an extensive background check – including an ethics, character and criminal check. To maintain certification, CFP® license holders must complete 30 hours of continuing education accepted by the CFP Board every two years.
